Highlights and exclusive stops along the way

Monaco offers world-class moorings with views of the principality and first-class dining. Cap-Ferrat and Villefranche combine serene bays with chic beach life. The Îles de Lérins are ideal for a quiet anchorage day with turquoise waters and historic charm. Cannes treats with the Croisette, boutiques and gourmet addresses. Saint-Tropez remains unrivalled for beach clubs, art galleries and evening vibes around the old port. Porquerolles forms the nature finale with protected waters, pine forests and powder-soft beaches. Thanks to your tender, you can effortlessly reach hidden coves, jet-set restaurants and exclusive beach clubs without sacrificing privacy.

Season, wind and sea conditions

The best time for this itinerary is May–June and September, with stable weather, warm water and fewer crowds. Read more about the appeal of the Côte d’Azur in summer: Summer destination: the Côte d’Azur. In July–August, the area is lively and glamorous, but booking in advance is essential. Find out here when it’s best to book: When to book your summer charter. The mistral may blow from time to time, particularly further west around Hyères, bringing a brisk north-westerly wind and choppier seas. Your skipper will adjust the route accordingly, offering sheltered alternatives. Observe speed and distance restrictions along the coast and respect the protected nature reserves around the Îles de Lérins and Îles d’Hyères.

Mooring with a superyacht: ports, moorings and tender use

Popular superyacht ports fill up quickly in high season. Early booking is crucial and your crew confirms ETAs and berths daily. Where quayside spots are limited, anchoring combined with tender shuttles offers maximum flexibility and privacy.

  • Monaco: Port Hercule, Fontvieille - top amenities, iconic setting.
  • Antibes: Port Vauban and IYCA - excellent superyacht infrastructure.
  • Cannes: Vieux Port, Port Canto - close to the Croisette.
  • Saint-Tropez: Vieux Port - limited, alternatives Pampelonne moorings and Marines de Cogolin.
  • Porquerolles: limited large berths - anchor in Baie d'Alycastre or Notre-Dame.

Practical: price indication, APA and what is included

Are you wondering about fuel? Read: Is fuel included in your charter? You can find out what is included as standard on board under ‘What is included in a superyacht charter’. VAT and local taxes depend on your exact cruising area and will be agreed transparently in advance.
