Itinerary | 8 days in the French Riviera

Cannes is famous for the Cannes Film Festival, which is one of the most prestigious and oldest film festivals in the world. This glamorous event is usually held in May and showcases many international films and screenplays. The Ancient town of Antibes is one of the oldest and prettiest on the French Riviera. Here you will discover The Muse Picasso, formerly the Château Grimaldi where Spanish artist Picasso lived. He fell in love with the town of Antibes so much that he donated a collection of artworks to the town and the rest were given later by his wife after Picasso's death. The French love their patisseries and St. Tropez is no exception. The famous (and delicious) Tarte Tropézienne is found in St. Tropez. The glamorous French Riviera hosts 50 per cent of the world’s superyacht fleet, with over 90 per cent of all superyachts visiting the region’s coast at least once in their lifetime, and it is no secret why.

Day 1 - Monaco

Distance from last location: 50 km
The Billionaires’ Playground and home to a glamorous jet-set scene, there’s no better place to enjoy a European summer than Monaco. Drop anchor at postcard-like secluded coves and soak up the gorgeous Mediterranean sun, feel the scream of F1 engines racing past at The Grand Prix or dream your future life into existence whilst window shopping at the famous Monaco Yacht Show. By night, world-class dining experiences are just waiting to be savoured - enjoy the triple Michelin star grandeur of Ducasse’s Monte Carlo restaurant, or hit Elsa restaurant and savour true fine dining with a side of ocean views. Experience all the glitz and glamour that Monaco has to offer.

Day 2 - Beaulieu-sur-Mer

Nestled between Nice and Monaco, Beaulieu-sur-Mer translates to ‘Beautiful place on the sea’, and with its Belle Èpoque touches and stunning seafront gardens, it’s not hard to see why. Boasting grand residences, many stunning historic churches and an enviable location, Beaulieu-sur-Mer surprisingly draws smaller crowds than its neighbouring villages - great news if you want to avoid the touristy crowds. When the call of the shore beckons, you’ll find 20th-century art museums and vintage history museums dotted throughout this hidden gem, as are the many iconic designs of French engineer Gustave Eiffel, builder of the most famous tower in the world. If you’ve never visited this charming waterfront town nestled between Nice and Monaco, it’s about time you did.

Day 3 - Villefranche-sur-Mer

The Cobalt-blue waters of Villefranche-sur-Mer beckon you to discover another Cote d’Azur gem. This 14th-Century village is quite small when compared to Nice, but it punches well above its weight with its beautiful harbour, impressive citadel and pretty town centre - all best seen from the water, naturally.

Day 4 - Antibes

Located between Cannes and Nice, Antibes exudes old-world glamour, blending French Riviera sophistication with a rich Greek and Roman history. Tender ashore and wind your way through the narrow, cobblestoned streets lined with pastel-coloured buildings and bougainvillaea.

Day 5 - Cannes

With its iconic location, postcard-perfect coastline and aristocratic history, nothing epitomises Southern France like Cannes. Cannes is home to one of the world’s most recognisable film festivals.

Day 6-7 - St. Tropez

St. Tropez is one of the French Riviera’s top destinations, so two days here is very much recommended. See and be seen is the motto here. Come night time, Les Caves du Roy is electronic French chic at its finest - it opens at midnight, so come ready to bust a move.

Day 8 - Nice

The world-famous, sun-drenched coastal city of Nice perfectly blends on-land adventure with on-water activities, so it’s the perfect way to end your luxury yacht adventure. The iconic Promenade des Anglais features no shortage of outstanding al fresco bars and restaurants, as well as the dramatic views atop Colline du Château. With an endless mix of on-land and on-water activities, a luxury yacht is the ideal way to discover this vibrant pocket of the French Riviera.
